A fixed menu, not a kitchen taking orders

The Pirates Dinner Show serves one set menu rather than a choice of mains: roast chicken with chips and corn on the cob for adults, chicken nuggets and chips for children, and ice cream to finish for everyone. It is built to be served quickly between acts rather than plated to order, which is the trade-off for a kitchen feeding several hundred people on a fixed theatrical clock.

The standard menu is already gluten-free

One practical point worth knowing before you book: the standard dinner is gluten-free as served, which removes one common dietary conversation entirely. Vegetarian and vegan alternatives exist but need pre-ordering — flag the requirement when you book rather than assuming the kitchen can adjust on the night.

Soft drinks are included; alcohol is not

Soft drinks and water are part of the ticket and are refilled through the evening until the performance begins. Alcohol is available separately at the bar and is not bundled into the family show's price — worth budgeting for if you plan to drink, and worth knowing if you were expecting an open bar.

Reloaded runs on drinks credit instead of dinner

The adults-only late show in the same theatre, Pirates Reloaded, flips the model: no dinner, but a drinks credit built into the ticket (from around €30 per person on the standard tier, rising with the seating level). If you are choosing between the two shows, the presence or absence of a plate versus a bar tab is the real difference, not just the age policy.

Timing the meal against the acts

Because courses arrive between set-pieces rather than on a restaurant's own schedule, expect the meal to move at the show's pace rather than yours. It suits a family evening built around watching the acts more than a leisurely, conversation-led dinner — know that going in and the pacing reads as part of the entertainment rather than a wait for food.
